Carpe Noctem

Bought a headlight and taillight set. Now I can ride in the middle of the night! 2.5 miles toodling around the neighborhood this evening.

As some of you may know, Team Bear Bike started as an off the cuff joke and sorta gathered momentum from there. At the time I didn't know that there is an illustrious Team Bear in San Francisco. Not wanting to step on toes or cause offense, I emailed them if they minded me using Team Bear Bike on a jersey. They don't mind at all, and I am happy. (Especially since I don't have to cancel ordering the official Team Bear Bike dirigible.)

Rain FAIL

Tossed and turned in bed last night, got up, got dressed, and its raining. No 25 mile ride today, no lovely views down PCH. No cinnamon roll. :(

I'm going back to bed.

First Blog!

Alright bloggers and fans, here's my first post!

So I am a beginning cyclist attempting to do the AIDS Lifecycle, there are two training rides this weekend, and in an attempt (?) to get myself ready, I rode to the library today. En route, I found construction, Central Park, sand, 12yo boys with BMX bikes laughing at me, and finally the library.

$21.50 in overdue fines later, I got to do it all again. This time it rained on me. Oh and I ate sand right as I was passing the BMX boys.

All in all, 5 miles today.

I love riding.
